Not to be confused with the festival on the east coast, the central Oregon coast town of Newport has hosted the Jazz at Newport Festival for 6 years.
It's three days of pure jazz heaven for genre aficionados with no less than ten places all over Newport to soak up the jazz vibes. It's action-packed all four days, with something happening every hour of the day of the festival, including a constantly revolving roster of "sessions," workshops and talks, as well as bigger concerts.
Many shows take place at the Newport Performing Arts Center (PAC), but numerous other places around Newport will be turned into jazz venues for the weekend for the Jazz Around Town feature of the Jazz at Newport Festival.

The Florence Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 13th Annual Fall Festival with award winning chowder, blues music and microbrews from some of the best breweries in the northwest! The festival is set for a time of the year with the most beautiful weather on the Central Oregon Coast. Beginning on Friday afternoon, the Florence Events Center will be rocking with "musical delights" performed by the great blues artists of the Western Oregon area.

The “Little San Francisco” of the Northwest is hosting the 3rd annual film festival. All films will be screened at Astoria’s beautifully restored Liberty Theater. The event includes a screening of the 1925 classic silent film Ben-Hur, with commentary by Ted Mahar of The Oregonian.
This year they have expanded the Q & A sessions to give the filmmakers an opportunity to meet their audience and vice-versa. The festival includes a Tadpole Children’s Film Festival, also at Liberty Theater.

Cannon Beach presents a weekend of art, music, potters, sculptors, cuisine, dancers and more. Throughout the weekend, shops, restaurants and galleries will be hosting music, art, and literary events.
Friday November 6 is the famous Quick Draw Event, where selected artists have one hour to complete a masterpiece. Quick Draw tickets will go on sale Monday, September 14, at 10 am. Tickets are limited. The rest of the weekend also features an art walk, open mic night, art gallery receptions, movement workshops, photography exhibits, and much more!
