If you are planning on bringing your pet with you on vacation, there are a few etiquette rules to keep in mind:

Only travel with a well-behaved dog that is friendly to people and especially children.

Please keep your dog leashed in areas that require a leash. On the Oregon Coast, leashes are required when the ocean beach you are on abuts or is part of a state park. Otherwise, your dog can be off-leash as long as he/she is under voice command at all times.

Never leave your dog alone in the vacation rental. Some dogs, no matter how well trained, can cause damage or bark continuously.

Just like you, pets enjoy the comforts of home; so don't forget their bedding, toys, brush, food, treats, leash and plenty of disposable bags to clean up after your pet.
