The Fall season comes and goes like a flash, so don’t wait — take full advantage of the crisp weather and beautiful leaves with this selection of exciting (and inexpensive) things to do in Oregon Beach this Fall.
Like many of you out there, Fall is undoubtedly my favorite time of the year. I mean, the weather is perfect (not too hot or too cold) and all the best holidays are right around the corner!!
Speaking of holidays, I know that most of us are trying to save our money during the Fall so we can afford to buy gifts for our loved ones — but never fear! The following list is full of events & activities the whole family can enjoy without breaking the bank.
November 26

It’s the 4th Annual Newport Turkey Trot, sponsored by Arctic Circle of Newport, to feature a 15k, 10k, 5k & Kids Run! Join them Thanksgiving morning for some family fun, burn some calories and help raise money for Sam Case and Yaquina View Elementary Schools.

Celebrating 35 years of unique Christmas crafts on the Oregon Coast. All items homemade and juried. Includes homemade jam, candles, cookies, bread — all freshly baked! Quilted wall hangings, table runners, appliqued sweatshirts, dried apples, Christmas wreaths, lavender sachets and bundles, bath soaps, aprons, tea towels, photography, Santas, angels, snowmen and ornaments galore!
They will also be raffling off two baskets filled with items that members have made as a way to give back to the community. This year’s raffle proceeds will go to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter Medical Fund to give animals a second chance by receiving important veterinary care.

Take a trip down to the Bayfront and enjoy the start of the holiday season with the Lighted Boat Parade.

Beautifully decorated trees, entertainment, visits with Santa, and special events all create a festive environment.
This year, the Festival theme is “New Beginnings.” Together, they hope to raise funds to purchase automated mannequins that will enhance the staff’s ability to care for infants and toddlers. This state-of-the-art equipment allows clinical staff to practice critical skills needed to diagnose and treat pediatric patients.

The local Central Coast Chorale joins the Corvallis Repertory Singers to perform well known and surprising carols with a small ensemble of NSO orchestra musicians under the baton of Steven Zielke. Works include Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Mozart’s Exaltate Jubilate, and more contemporary composer Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna. This is a great opportunity to bring friends and family together to celebrate the season.
