It’s almost time for the Cannon Beach Fat Tire Festival, an exciting event that celebrates mountain biking and outdoor adventure in the scenic coastal town of Cannon Beach, Oregon.  

Here’s what you can expect from this festival: 

Location 

Cannon Beach is on the northern Oregon Coast, known for its stunning beaches, iconic Haystack Rock, and charming coastal atmosphere. 

Date & Time  

The Fat Tire Festival takes place May 17^th, 5:00pm – May 19^th, 2:00pm. 

Activities 

Beach Bike Ride 

Kick start the festivities with a Fat Bike sunset ride along Ecola Creek and past Haystack Rock on Friday evening. 

Fat Bike Adventure Quest 

Introducing a new and exciting event this year – the Fat Bike Adventure Quest! Imagine the thrill of fat biking with the excitement of a scavenger hunt and the challenges of the Amazing Race. Race against the clock individually or team up with a partner to complete tasks throughout town. 

Fat Bike Beach Ride to Hug Point 

Join a Saturday afternoon guided 13-mile beach ride to the scenic waterfall at Hug Point. Take in stunning views as you ride past Haystack Rock along the old “Oregon Beach Highway.” 

Pelican Brewing Co. Beach Party 

After the Saturday afternoon beach ride, head to Tolovana Beach for a lively beach party. Enjoy Fat Bike games, sample local beer and sparkling N/A beverages from Pelican Brewing Co., snacks, and more. Prizes for the Fat Bike Adventure Quest will be awarded here 

Klootchy Creek Trails Adventure 

On Sunday, intermediate to advanced riders can experience the thrill of guided mountain bike rides through the Klootchy Creek Trails.  

Tickets 

Tickets to the festival are $45 + $3.39 fee.

5:00pm – 6:30pm | Packet pick up & social gathering @ Public Coast Brewing Co., 264 E 3rd St, Cannon Beach, OR 97110   

6:30pm – 7:30pm | Fat Bike Sunset Ride 

Saturday, May 18th 

12:30pm – 2:30pm | New this year – Fat Bike Adventure Quest. The quest will begin with your first clue at the Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce, Community Hall, 207 N Spruce St, Cannon Beach, OR 97110 

2:30pm – 4:30pm | Fat Bike Beach Ride to Hug Point Waterfall      

4:30pm – 6:30pm | Get ready for the ultimate Beach Party bash 

Sunday, May 19th 

12:00pm – 2:00pm | Guided Mountain Bike Rides @ Klootchy Creek Trails.  (There will be options for Intermediate to Advanced-level riders.  Please check the box w/ your skill level on registration.)
