My friends and I had an amazing experience at this location. We loved everything from the 2-minute bike ride to the beach, to the spacious and comfortable living room, and gated community. Highly recommend for a beach getaway!

We chose this property because of the view, as we wanted something that was large and roomy yet secluded, but close to the many beaches close-by. As we are avid whale watchers, we want a large deck to view them as they swam by., we were not disappointed.

I wanted to love this place but, it’s not great for the money. Some of the furnishings are in serious need of replacement. The mattresses are really uncomfortable, the chairs in the living room are near falling apart. The kitchen is stocked with necessary items to cook but the non stick coating is peeling off the pans. Nice view of the ocean and beach but zero beach vibe inside. Bare walls in the main living area. Wouldn’t take much effort from the home owners to make this a place people would return to year after year. As it is now, I would not return for the money they are asking.

This home is beautiful and very clean. It has everything you need from cooking supplies to games and beach toys for the kids. Our family of 8 had a comfortable stay and this house along with the community was amazing. There are tons of restaurants and activities nearby. We enjoyed Stimulus Coffee, Cold Water + Coffee, Pelican Brewery, and there’s 2 grocery stores that have some good options so u can make dinner at home. The BBQ is great as well. Thank you for letting us stay at this beautiful home we will definitely be back soon!

Great house! Comfortable and nicely decorated with a fabulous kitchen that is well stocked! Having the option of the ocean and the river made for a great variety of things to do. From the back decks we saw horse riders and deer everyday which was so fun for the grandkids. And the lookout (widows walk) room was the perfect room for our oldest grandchild to sleep in and awesome views as well. This is a great place to stay with top notch service! Thank you Open Nest!

We stayed for a long weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed the location. Right by the water with beautiful views. The downstairs definitely smelled old, maybe moisture? And I was disappointed with the failed seal on the picture window. The view was distorted by condensation and built up residue.

Loved the house, it was furnished so well! We rent a house every year and this one was furnished the best. It was clean & cozy. Very kid friendly. Quiet neighborhood centrally located. Very close to beach, nice little walk. I was a bit disappointed though upon our arrival at the condition of the back deck area. It was very very dirty with umbrella and parts on the ground and dirty table and chairs. I think the owners would also disapprove of the condition of it when we arrived.

Where do I start? Day one, the communication was very timely. We walked into the house and it was immaculate. We go out on the balcony/deck, and immediately we saw an eagle and some other birds. Since I love photography and taking pictures of birds it was the perfect spot to just sit there and scope them out.. The view is absolutely stunning and you overlook gorgeous greenery and an inlet, and then you see the ocean in the distance. We were comfortable, more so than you would be at another place or hotel. The town is small and quaint and most things do shut down pretty early which was noted in the other reviews and I believe the description. There is a little grocery store that has everything you need. Everything we wanted to see or do was within 90 minutes drive and the drives were absolutely gorgeous as well. On day two we found that there was a second eagle and so all of our mornings were spent on the balcony drinking coffee and just watching them make passes right in front of us. And there’s also a juvenile eagle as well. The other homes around were currently unoccupied and so it was very very quiet for us especially at night. There were deer in the neighboring yards. It was like a Disney movie! On the very last morning we made the mistake of accidentally locking ourselves out of the house. We contacted both Airbnb and the property management company to get support. Airbnb contacted the management company for us but the property management responded within about 15 minutes. And not even five minutes later Mitch showed up with a key to let us in! Such great service! I would absolutely stay at this property again!

We have stayed at several short term rentals and this was our favorite to date. Very clean and comfortable. Just as described and even better in person. Generally not the case with short term rentals. Property management was great and very responsive. We loved the curious sea cow with its great proximity to beach or a bowl or chowder at the Pelican(both a quick short walk). Comfortable beds and nice furnishings which often isn’t the case with some rentals. Won’t stay anywhere else if we make it back to Pacific City.

We have stayed at this rental many times in the past few years. It has everything you could possibly think in comfort. Lots of space inside and out. It even has a little play room with a foosball & ping pong table in what would be the garage. It is a very quiet neighborhood and a perfect place to get away and just relax. The creek in the back is great, sometimes you even have deer outside eating or walking by. All in all, truly no complaints. It’s always a great stay. We will definitely be back!

Our family ranged from age 1 to 75 and all enjoyed this beautifully furnished beach house, just a short walk from the waves. Whether playing pool, relaxing in the hot tub, enjoying a board game, or reading on one of the decks, there was ample activities and space for all. We did have one issue with the refrigerator so it was wonderful to have access 24/7 to management who addressed the issue quickly. We have stayed in numerous beach houses along the Oregon coast and this was the probably the cleanest! Plus a good supply of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags was a nice surprise. We would definitely stay here again!

This home was perfect for our trip to the Oregon Coast. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Each night we watched the beautiful sunsets on the back deck. A large kitchen table for meals and games. It was perfect!

DON\'T BE FOOLED BY THE VIEWS! This house is Stunning! Stunning that anyone thinks this is acceptable! Dont believe the description or the misleading pictures! This is a very smelly, dirty, ( no, not just typical coast smell) It is a really run down, not taken care of home with great views. I can\'t possibly list all of the disgusting disappointments with this home. First! The smell of mold hits you in the face! It is overpowering and visible in many places. Nothing in this home is cleaned properly. Dirt and stains on white towels and carpets. Dirty comforters and pillow cases. The kitchen has almost nothing and what they do have, needed cleaned before we could use it. No pots or pans. Certainly not enough cups, plates and utensils for large groups! Maybe enough randomness for 8! There was 1, yes 1, 8 inch low side frying pan! The appliances are old & iffy. The fire alarm goes off randomly at all hours, for zero reason. The Hot tub won\'t get slightly warm, let alone hot. It is surrounded by rust and cigarette butts. Bedrooms don\'t have curtains that block out light. They are broken and have holes. The beds are REALLY old, uncomfortable & dirty. I could go on! We are completely shocked that anyone would rent it out in this state of disrepair! It is a OLD, dirty house that no one has invested time or money into since 1980! It should be marketed as a big old really dirty, really run down house with great views! When we called and asked for help, we were told we could leave, but no other place to stay or help. So we were supposed to pack up everyone and have no place to go. It was and is not a great rental and the experience was very disheartening.

We love staying in Shorepine Village anyway and the Curious Sea Cow is a perfect example of rentals in this area. Very nicely accommodated, comfy couches and backs up against the trail so not only does it feel private but it's a nice walk to the beach. Very comfortable for our family and would also be comfortable for two families with small kids who can sleep together in one room on the bunk beds.

This home is breath taking. The view spectacular! The decor above and beyond my expectations. Our family enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this home. We made memories to cherish forever. I can hardly wait to go again. My grandson keeps asking me when we will go to the beach. He’s 3 and he loved it. I would recommend staying here for a week it’s just so beautiful .

Agate Cove is a lovely condo with the perfect location. It is thoughtfully and beautifully created to be peaceful and comfortable. The view of the beach is incredible, you can even see the Yaquina Head lighthouse. Then it is a short walk to all the restaurants and shops your heart desires. The food from the local restaurants was top-notch! I highly recommend Agate Cove! It is perfect for a weekend getaway or a week-long vacation!

We had a lovely stay at the Curious Sea Cow! It was a wonderful place to call “home” during this special Father’s Day trip. We didn’t take advantage of even half of what this home has to offer, though we did use the bikes to hop into town and get a coffee at our new vacation favorite, Cold Water & Coffee. There were also crab nets available, as well as items to use at the beach! Speaking of which, the beach is a short, though quite delightful, walk away on a paved trail which runs right behind the home. Easy! Pelican Brewing is not far away, and it is accessible from the beach. Makes for a nice jaunt. The home was impeccably clean, and easy to run during our 5 day stay. Thankful to use the washer and dryer so we weren’t bringing home a ton of dirty clothes! Only thing it doesn’t have… a hairdryer. Be sure and bring your own. We so enjoyed our stay here! We will remember it fondly for many years to come! Thank you, Curious Sea Cow!

This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed here because we love it so much!! We were happy to see the broken down couch had been replaced. The reclining chairs were replaced as well but both were broken unfortunately. The refrigerator wasn’t getting cold at all. We took the cover off the front and it was CAKED with dust. We vacuumed it and it seemed to work better. There was dog poop or something in one of the bedroom closets. The grass was VERY tall! The WiFi information in the email wasn’t correct. We had to mess around with the router and get the information off of it to log in. The house could definitely use a deep clean. We will stay here again because we love it but it just needs some attention and more thorough cleaning.

Beautiful home with breathtaking views ! This house had everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook or grill outside. The beds were super comfortable as well. Whether sitting upstairs or down we had full view of the sunsets and sunrises. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! From climbing Cape Kiwanda to walking the beach and eating the delicious seafood in Pacific City. Such a great place to vacation!

Our family loved staying at this beautiful relaxing condo ! The views are amazing and we loved the covered deck. The kitchen had everything we needed plus we could cook while enjoying the unobstructed views . We didn’t even need to drive anywhere as there are so many cute restaurants and shops to walk to. The beach access is so close and we appreciated being able to walk right down to the beach anytime we wanted. Even when it rained we enjoyed being sheltered on the deck enjoying the lighthouse view while sitting on the ultra comfortable deck furniture. We will most certainly be staying here again when we visit Newport!

2 adults, same day reservation. Phone experience with Kimberly at Ocean Beach Properties was very positive. Told we could check in at 4:00 PM. At 3:26 PM received a text saying that we wouldn’t be able to check in until after 6 PM and housekeeping manager would contact us. Never heard from anyone. Opened the lockbox at 5 PM and found keys. Keychain holding the keys was broken, and one key fell through the deck and into the overgrown grass below. Found key with great difficulty and got into the house, which was ready and had been cleaned. Tried to open windows, many of which were either painted shut, in such poor repair that they couldn’t stay open, or had no screens. Kitchen is very bright, clean, and cheerful. Didn’t use washer/dryer. Downstairs bedroom (queen) is quite dark and not terribly clean. Full bath. Shower was nice. Plenty of towels. Living room has great view of the ocean although the windows could really use washing. Didn’t use fireplace. Carpet throughout house is very worn, has many burn marks, and is not clean. Furniture is very worn and extremely uncomfortable. Living room futon is so lumpy, worn, and tilted that it is not usable. Wall-mounted TV, VCR (!), landline (!), and DVD player. Did not use TV or peripherals. Back porch could be very nice if tidied up. Not safe for small children. Stairs and railing to backyard are unsafe. Upstairs sitting area is very nice. Didn’t use TV. Two usable chairs. Futon is quite lumpy, worn, and uncomfortable. Biggest issues were cleanliness, windows, and WiFi-internet. WiFi is difficult to connect to and so unreliable that it is practically useless. Had to reboot modem and WiFi many, many times. Modem and WiFi wiring is a nightmare. If owners would spend a couple of weeks cleaning and updating and resolve internet issues it could be a fine place. However we cannot recommend it based on our experience.

This is a very well maintained, pet-friendly property at a great location. However, the living room furniture was not as pictured. The couch is a broken hide-a-bed that is extremely uncomfortable to sit on. The matching chair is just as uncomfortable. The bedrooms are as pictured and the beds are uncomfortable as well. We even considered returning home early because it was so bad. We were hugely disappointed.

I’m really struggling with the impulse to gate-keep this amazing property—it’s that good. For example (and this list is not exhaustive): The view is spectacular; the beach access cannot be beat; the house is clean & better stocked than my own house; the beds are comfortable & the bedding is clean; the couches looked brand new; the floor-to-ceiling windows were spotless, and I don’t know how I vacationed before without this laundry room. The hosts have thought of literally everything. (My kids were enchanted by the beach-themed plush.) We come to the Oregon coast every year & we won’t be staying anywhere else moving forward. Just, WOW.

Very comfortable, nicely furnished and supplied beach cottage. It is in a new subdivision of cottages tightly squeezed side by side, but has access through the back door into a magical coastal rainforest with a couple of miles of trails. which made the location a five star for our family. Six beach cruisers and two kayaks were also a hit, increasing enjoyment of trips to town; the beach and river. Pacific City has small beach town charm and is off the busy 101, and this house had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay, including quick and helpful responses from our host. Thank you!

What an amazing experience for our first trip to the Oregon coast. Absolutely stunning views of the ocean that never get old. The property is very private, and felt like a magical retreat for our kids. And the stairs down to the beach was like a portal to another world. Walks on the beach were awesome, watching seals from the Waldport bay was amazing, and a breakfast stop at the local bakery (Chubby Little Mermaid) was icing on the cake for us!

We rented this house recently for a birthday weekend. The view from the house and the location can\'t be beat. However, that\'s where the good points end. The description of the house clearly states there is cable/satellite. This is not true! There is no cable TV at all. I called the office to get assistance, was told that someone would stop by, yet nobody ever did. I surmise it\'s because they knew all along there was no cable TV. There is an Amazon fire stick, yet the WiFi is so bad that you couldn’t actually watch anything. We attempted to stream from our computer with no luck, again because the WiFi is almost non-existent. And forget about any kind of cell phone signal. This house was just lacking the attention to detail. At least two windows at the back of the house (that face the ocean) have broken seals and you can\'t see out of them. A couple of the lights in the kitchen are missing lightbulbs. Not sure if the master bedroom had been vacuumed as there were several dust bunnies around the room. There were only 2 outdoor chairs. It would be nice if there were enough for all the guests to sit on. Oh, and there was someone\'s icky retainer in the sink drain...gross!

Wow, this place was absolutely incredible! Breathtaking ocean views, huge windows that open. Very clean, beautiful modern home. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Fun game room with board games, cards, ping pong table, Nintendo switch with games-awesome! Great for rainy days. There is a sand dune to go down in order to get to the water and climb back up to get back to the house. Responsive host. Perfect family getaway, we made wonderful memories here and will definitely return in the future. Thanks!

Capeside Lookout is a super cute and well-appointed home, new to the Open Nest Family. I love how this home feels from the moment you walk in the door. High-quality finishes, warm and inviting colors and furnishings, and the state-of-the-art kitchen all contribute to the relaxing ambiance of this two-bedroom home. I would choose Capeside Lookout if you are looking for a family-friendly property that has incredible views and access to the community clubhouse. Honestly SO GOOD! Lots of thoughtful amenities, well stocked kitchen and the Primary Bathroom/Shower was heavenly! Not to mention like the other reviewers beautiful views throughout the day. Lots of deer sightings and our 2 littles loved adventuring around the property. Haven Hill is super close to everything you could need in Pacific City and just a great place to get away from it all! We will be back for sure!

We usually rent newer and bigger houses than this one. Considering that...we very much loved this house. It is older...but well cared for. Bedrooms down stairs are VERY tiny but the wonderful beds are so comfortable. Ocean side bedroom is quite, the other one that is down stairs you can hear road noise. The upstairs bedroom is quite and larger...though the bathroom is very low ceiling and tiny...having just a toilet and sink...but very convenient to have for sure! Kitchen is upgraded, living room furniture is very nice. Everything was VERY clean and cozy. We would recommend and would stay again. One suggestion is: the upstairs bedroom has the best view, however, there is a tree that the biggest branch is dead anyway and it totally obstructs view of Twin Rocks. Removing that branch would make that view PERFECT.

Location was stunning, the house was truly on the bach with Haystack Rock basically in the backyard. Everything was very clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and it was super kid friendly. Pelican Pub was basically next door and it was close to lots of nice walking trails. Super happy with our stay!

We stayed over Mother\'s Day weekend. We didn\'t use much of the townhouse (kitchen/living room/guest room), as it was just 2 of us and we spent our time on the beach. We just used the master bedroom/en-suite bathroom. The location is great - 1 block from the beach & just a couple blocks from town. Our biggest complaint was the noise from the unit next door. They let their 3 kids run wild through the house (including racing up and down the stairs and banging on everything) until 1:00 AM. There is not much insulation between the units and we could not sleep. We were minutes from calling in a noise complaint to the police. The outside of the unit is dirty and not maintained well. The outside front door light is burned out and absolutely filthy and the grounds are a bit overgrown. Our other complaint was the TV. There are only 4 channels to choose from and my husband was not happy that all the other channels were \"unavailable\".

Took my family, along with some extended family and stayed at "Sunset Shores", a vacation rental in Pacific City. House was super cool, kids loved it from the bright red front door to the lookout space at the top level. House was clean, and there were plenty of rooms, bathrooms, and spaces to hangout. Would recommend you go to nearby Cape Kiwanda, an amazing place! We had never been there before, but the home and Pacific City were both great. Would stay here again for sure.

Arrived to find an empty locked office. Had recieved no check-in info and no responce to phone calls to rental people. Luckily an employee of the rental company drove up and made a phoine call to get us into the unit. View was great. Location was great. The unit itself had not been well maintained. The toilet leaked onto the floor when flushed. The freezer leaked water into the refrigerator to the shelves and bins. The TV had a cable controller but no cable hook-up. There were other issues. We would not stay here again and would not recomend it to others. No onsite management is also a edisadvantage.

Nice place to hang out. Over all very comfortable. Could use attention to the small details. Cleaning. Most all of pots and pans needed a thorough cleaning. Had a wall mounted heating and air unit in the TV room but the remote was missing making it unusable. Was also disappointed by the bar-b-q. Totally unusable.. Our first night\'s dinner kinda center around it. We made do. The hot tube and fire pit where great. The deck and view where fantastic. The game room in the garage was fun but most of the games there where showing their wear. Still was fun. The pool table in the house was a nice way to pass the time while the storm raged out side. Beach access requires you to be in very fit condition and then sketchy. The walk down 101 and then just as the trail gets to the beach the tides have cut away the side of the hill requiring a rope to semi repel down to the beach. Very slippery. I did see where the owner is considering making his own access to the beach. Over all we had a nice time. Will consider a return trip.

The only good thing about this property was the view. The floors, furniture and the bath tub was not clean. Bbq and tv was not working, carpets are stained and smalled really bad. No trash bags place mats or scratch free untensils. Furniture falling apart, No guest info, which is standard. After being charged for luxurious property this is not what we expected. Never again. We rent regularly OR coast, this was the worst rental we ever stayed for the price.

Haven Hill is an amazing home for you to stay in while visiting Pacific City! The views alone are “instagram ready”, and the minute that sunset hits, you’ll be in heaven! Super closer to the main strip of Pac City (5 mins) and Bob Straub park. Found it super easy and convenient to get around. The house itself has everything you could need. We ended up cooking a lot of our meals. (There’s a little market not too far away). Loved sitting on the deck drinking our morning coffee and having an afternoon drink watching the sunset! Tucked away in a very quiet and serene part of the hill. You, your family, your friends will love this spot!

Second Bedroom also has a king bed, side chair and table, smart desk, and ample storage. Third bedroom is a queen bed plus bunk beds. Each Bedroom has it's own private bath. Kitchen has new appliances and a wine fridge, living room furniture looks new and the sand toys and beach games in the breezeway closet were a big hit. Sitting on the deck on the Adirondack chairs with a glass of wine looking at the ocean was wonderful. House was clean and well stocked on arrival and using the door code for check in was as easy as it gets. Great time!

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful place. It had everything we needed and it was beyond our expectation, so clean and cozy. The Safari theme on the inside, the beach walk and Mountain View on the outside are so amazing. We will definitely come back!

Wish I could give more stars...but, arrived to find pubic hair on White pillow case and crumbs/debris on couch and furnishings that looked far too many times used, and quite frankly gross. Loft was closed off permanently even though ad showed the pictures on-line. Our boys were disappointed. Mattress is NOT comfortable in the Master. Views nice, but did not make up for the other problems. Good news?? Oregon Beach refunded our cleaning fee. This helped boost the review rating. Suggestions:. Updated or newer appearance cleanliness to main furnishings needed, new or added memory foam to Master. Blackout shades or blinds for Master in case anyone wants to sleep in past daybreak. Wood stove nice cozy feature, but TV situated too close as an electronic to stove. New window to prevent moisture/mold needed on bathroom. Cheap Walmart shower head needed in Shower. Anything better than being sandblasted with current shower head.

Oceans view and beach access could not be better. Interior slightly dated, but extremely comfortable. House and kitchen well stocked. Firepit and ping-pong in garage are great options. Amazing location and will definitely return, definitely a special place.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was clean, stocked, and well-maintained! The views were gorgeous and breathtaking. If you take a walk early in the morning when the tide is low, you can walk up to rocks and see starfish. We took a bike ride along the beach, went on a hike, visited the aquarium, watched the stars at night, marveled at the beautiful sunsets, had great conversations and made awesome food in a well stocked kitchen. The rooms are decorated and offer a pleasant atmosphere. Also, there are beach toys for the kids, a table tennis and soccer table in a covered area in case weather doesn't cooperate. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience! Check it out fort yourself!

It was nice to be so close to water and it is a lovely bay. The unit was decorated nicely; however when we arrived noticed crumbs on counter.; there were no washcloths available; limited TV channels; the unit was warm especially at night and no fan to move the air.

We love this place and have stayed here twice each year for a week each time for the past 9 yrs. Sadly, we won’t be able to stay here any longer due to the price increase. It has made it unaffordable for us to stay here and we will need to find different accommodation. Sigh**. I guess it was good while it lasted.

Very quiet and adorable little cottage. We enjoyed our 2 days stay and will book again. Fireplace had no instructions so we had to look up how to start it on YouTube, was very easy. The coffee pot didn’t work and I hope they replace it. Beds were amazing, memory foam made it feel like sleeping on a cloud. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This lovely beach house instantly felt like home upon entering. It was clean and fresh with comfortable sitting spots throughout. The house was well-appointed with a kitchen that made cooking easy at any desired level but was also located within easy reach of local restaurants. Beautiful decor, art work, and many reading materials contributed greatly to the Oregon Coast experience. The ocean waves provided a wonderful background accompaniment to each day whether inside or out and a short walk through the pleasant neighborhood was all that was needed to reach the miles of amazing beaches available to the Lincoln City visitor. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this thoughtfully prepared vacation home!

8 ladies (sisters and cousins) have booked this house 2x/year since 2013 for a week long ladies scrapbook/craft retreat. We all have our preferred bed/bedroom!! There is a large living room dining room combo that we set up four, six ft folding tables and we can leave all of our crafting stuff out and craft around the clock for a week!! Even with the folding tables set up, it doesn’t encroach into the living room so some can watch tv or visit while others are crafting and we are all together at the same time. The attached bedrooms are not a concern for us because it suits us in all the other areas. Sometimes the house is cleaner than other times. We do have to bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap etc. as there is a minimal amount provided at the house. Since we’ve been going there, they have replaced the dishwasher, fridge, blinds, toaster, coffee maker, and stove. They do need more large skillets and pots to accommodate as many people as it sleeps. It’s hard to make a large pot of spaghetti, soups, chili, etc without using two pots for one sauce. Then it takes up extras burners for cooking other things at the same time. Oh, and it’s in need of a better ice cream scoop.

Lovely "cabin" home! I think the REAL fireplace was the #1 hit with our family. All you ever see anymore are electric or gas, and NOTHING can compare to the sound, aroma, ambiance and heat of a real fireplace. We also liked that there were 3 bathrooms and 4 generous bedrooms! We used the awesome gas grill on the deck. I will definitely be coming back to this place for a visit again! This home offered something for everyone in our family.... comfy beds, games, well put together kitchen...just everything! :)

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Short Board Studio this past weekend. It was impeccably clean and cozy, and still walking distance to town and the beach. A great alternative to the Inn for the two us. This is our 4th time renting through Open Nest and we continue to be very pleased with the properties. Wonderful location but the house was not what we expected. We expected a dated style, but the upkeep and maintenance on the house is severely deferred. Further, it was not cleaned very well prior to our arrival. Immediately, upon entering the house the first thing we noticed was an overwhelming dog smell. Then we noticed items left from the previous renters, throughout the house. A children\'s book was sticking out from under the furniture, a Minecraft toy, a child\'s t-shirt and game pieces were some of the few random things we found in various locations throughout the house. Many clearly visible, some under furniture. The carpet was abysmal (10 years past needing to be replaced), it was smelly, stained and separating in several locations exposing the carpet tacks which stabbed ours and our children’s feet several times. It is clear the owners are aware of this issue and that it has not been addressed for sometime considering large sections at the edge of the carpet were duct taped down. And the tape appeared to have been there for quite a while. The wood paneling was separating in spots, with trim just hanging down and exposed nails. Several broken or missing window blinds and windows with notes saying not to open as they are broken. Beds and mattresses were ok, but also very old. Kitchen was very poorly equipped with only 1 pan and 1 larger pot and knives that when used to cut an apple, the apple would break before the knives could cut it. The photos need to be updated to reflect the condition of the house and other things.

The home was super clean, had everything we needed in the kitchen, the hot tub was perfect and the beds and pillows were great. If you are looking to get away and have super easy access to the beach this house is perfect for that.

We had 3 generations of family for the past 6 nights at this wonderful house. Easy beach access, great views, wonderfully comfortable house. We’ve stayed at beach houses before that weren’t as well appointed as this one. We brought our own skillet, casserole dish and really didn’t need it. There were plenty of dishes and utensils. The only problem we had was with the living room fireplace. It didn’t want to light. I sent an email about it and that day they left the key to turn the gas on. However, that wasn’t the problem and we never did get it to work. It wasn’t a big deal since it was so nice outside we had the windows and sliding door open most of the time. Everyone from Great Grandpa to the Great grandchildren loved staying here.

This place is perfect! Let me break it down…. The Property: The house is so nice! Super clean and the kitchen has everything you need. There is plenty of room & the house very well maintained. It is in a quiet area and super peaceful. The views are like something out of a magazine! There is a fire pit and porch to enjoy the sunset and soak it all in! So nice to sit back in the lawn chairs and enjoy the breeze in mornings. Location: You are close to all the best hiking options and the beach is maybe a 5 minute drive. It’s not crowded or overwhelming like other places along the coast! Be sure to climb the Dune. So much fun to have both hiking and beach day options. We had fun popping into town for a cup of coffee on our way to adventure the day away! This is the quintessential Oregon Coast escape for folks who like to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The place is classy and worth the money.

Artistic touches throughout and available reading materials added enjoyment and enhanced the experience of being at the Oregon coast. The positives: great location! Easy to get to the beach, ice cream shop, couple restaurants and the new food pod. The smart TV was nice. BUT, the house itself was pretty disappointing. First off, it wasn\'t even ready when we arrived. I finally had to go ask the guy cleaning when we could get in...he told me \"5 minutes\" and almost 15 min later, they were finally done. It was obvious the floors had been mopped when we got in (still wet) but the couch was COVERED in crumbs, there were cobwebs and dust EVERYWHERE and half the lights in the house (literally...we counted) were out, including a very important one on the upstairs deck. The hot tub was at just 75° on our first day, which made it unusable (and it was a MAIN amenity we requested) and seemed to be unstable the entire time we were there (no instructions anywhere but my husband looked operations online). The upstairs toilet ran after being flushed, so my husband had to go into the tank to adjust it. There were stains/spots and bedding and towels and a lot of the cutlery wasn\'t clean. The back yard was a disaster. I absolutely would NOT let small children out there. Broken pieces of tile or something scattered around, dog poop, uneven pavers, etc. And, the only source of light is a motion light by the back door, so when they goes out, you\'re left in the dark (there were some solar lights that looked like they were for the ground, but they were all in pieces on the back table or scattered around hot tub). The washer know was missing, so the suggestion left was to use a \"wrench or rubber glove\" to turn it on. My mother, who has arthritis definitely was unable to use it. The two swivel chairs in the living area were barely functional and we worried constantly about them breaking. It took an extra 20 min to check out, because the lockbox for the keys was in such bad repair, we couldn\'t get into it. This house needs a MAJOR deep clean as well as a complete maintenance overhaul before I would consider staying in it.

Sunset Shores is truly a magical getaway on the Oregon Coast! Its furnishings and decorations are modern and beautiful! The beds are extremely comfortable, and there is more than enough seating in every living area. We loved the setup of this house- the bunk room is on the second floor, so after children went to bed, adults could still hang out upstairs with a tv, and teenagers on the bottom floor in the tv/game room. The kitchen is HUGE and our party of 13 had plenty of space to hangout and eat. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed to cook all week. Washer and dryer, and outside shower to rinse sand off were great features! Plus this house has 4 showers! Amazing for large groups or family reunions. It was stocked with games, beach towels, and a foosball table. The house is located just over the dunes from the beach, so it’s a short 2 minute walk and then you have what feels like a private beach to yourselves! We absolutely loved this location which is why we will keep coming back! Also located down the road from the cutest new candy/ice cream shop! I want to tell everyone about this house but then I don’t, so I can have it all to myself! Thank you Sunset Shores for a week full of memories!

Loved staying at this rental last weekend! There was space for the whole extended family and then some! Lots of space for kids to play and adults to enjoy. There are so many hidden spaces to relax in the home. The kids loved getting to sleep all together in the bunk room and playing foosball all day! The kitchen was massive and had everything we needed. So many windows gave it great natural light even on cloudy days! Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. A true retreat and oasis, home away from home! It is a short 3 minute walk to a private beach that was perfect for playing all day with the kids. Sand dunes and tide pools are minutes away by car. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect accommodations. We had such a great stay we extended for 2 extra nights. This location was a close easy walk to the beach and the wagons provided made packing up walking down to the beach easy. The open layout of the house helped us stay together during meal time and play for our little one. The house was clean and well stocked with extra towels, blankets, kitchen supplies. The house is right next to the main gate so you see all the traffic coming in and out but it wasn’t a concern for us. We will definitely stay again.

5 of us went for a spring break getaway, and it was great. Weather wasn\'t awesome, but it\'s the Oregon coast, so what can you do about that... it was fun. Our only complaint was that there was 3 coffee makers, but no coffee beans or roast, or cups for the Keurig machine? And the heating system does work well downstairs... it was cold. But nothing a couple blankets and a run to the store can\'t fix. All in all, we had a great time.

What\'s not to love about this place? We had enough room for everyone without feeling at all crowded, the kitchen is fantastic! THREE full bathrooms? Yes!! Views from every angle, games, puzzles, ping pong & foozeball! and so much more! My favorite room had to be the Whale Watch room upstairs! I loved enjoying my morning cuppa staring out the windows taking it all in! We had such a great time and we cannot wait to come back!!

It's tough to find a beach vacation house that checks all the boxes. You start with a view but from there are inevitable shortcomings...elegance of the house itself, comfort of gathering areas, adequate kitchen, quality of amenities... Catoor has all of this. The living space is commodious, the kitchen one where we even took design notes for ourselves (along with the best appliances/ kitchenware we've ever found) while the baths and amenities were luxurious. Finally, Open Nest was much a personal concierge the couple of times we called. All in all, it was probably the best rental experience we've ever had.

There is something for every age to love about Pacific Watch. There are large gathering areas between the main living room and two expansive decks, one facing the gorgeous, wide ocean view and one facing the layers of treed hills. For those looking for a bit of retreat privacy, this home offers several places to pull away inside and out. The spectacular whale watch room on the third floor is such a great place to begin and end the day perching on stools at the high bar table at the window. Watch every sunrise and sunset from this quiet 360 degree view. Kids will have fun being exuberant in the downstairs foosball area or ping pong room. This beach home has generous windows everywhere. Wherever you look, it’s just a treat. The beach is so close, and takes you to great coffee and food. Loved that!

There is tons of space and separation so everyone could enjoy what they wanted in the moment and then come together in the great room. Each morning, my wife and I had coffee in the top room with 360 degree windows and a glass of wine at night. Our kids had bunks in the bottom floor with movies, foosball and ping pong so they always had something to do. The kitchen, great room, and dining area is a spread, so all of us were able to get popcorn for movie time after the amazing sunsets. One day we walked down the beach to explore the cape and get treats. It\'s an awesome house for everyone and in the perfect location. I highly recommend it!
